FORTHCOMING NEW-ADULT FANTASY
Emma Mackenzie
and the
Treasures of Britain
Emma Mackenzie has spent most of her life reading about magic, but she has never had any reason to believe it might be real. When she discovers otherwise, she also learns that Britain’s oldest legends may be considerably less legendary than she thought. Charged with finding the Thirteen Treasures of Britain—all fifteen of them—before her twin brother can reach them first, she sets out across the country with her best friend, Simon, who possesses a mysterious ability to nullify magic.
Their search draws them into the heart of Arthurian legend, where stories of King Arthur, Merlin, and Britain’s magical past begin to prove far more complicated—and far more dangerous—than either of them expected.

Meet the Author
Hi, I’m Jess Bardin. I write contemporary fantasy that finds magic in the myths, legends, and stories already woven into our world.
At heart, I’m a storyteller, but I’m also an endlessly curious researcher. My background in history, English, and linguistics shapes the way I build worlds, while my love of travel, languages, and books helps me make those worlds feel lived in. I care deeply about thoughtful, high-quality storytelling and about creating intelligent, kind characters who are searching for belonging, purpose, and a life that feels truly their own.
When I’m not writing, I’m usually reading, learning a language, planning my next trip, or looking for another dragon-rider book to add to the pile.
